Vito was seen running by Parasio Vallarta. He had a cord around his neck as if he was once tied up, was underweight and covered in fleas. Poor little guy was so scared! We were able to grab him and get him to our vet. He’s now at the shelter where he loves being around the other dogs and he LOVES being held. He will snuggle right into your shoulder. He has started his vetting protocols. Based on his story, it seems as though Vito is the runt of the litter.
We have come to learn, Vito was with a family of dogs including his mom. Someone had been feeding them near Parasio Vallarta. Another rescue had picked up 2 of his siblings a week prior, both having been run over. They couldn’t take the rest of the family and nobody knew where they went. Then we found Vito. And a few days later spotted his mom(identical) not far from our shelter with two more puppies. We were able to get both those puppies in one day, at different times, both females, but have not seen mom. We will try to rescue her as well if we can! His sisters are named Venice and Verona…our Italy litter!
