Tanner was rescued by the Nayarit green patrol. Someone reported him being cut on his side with a machete. He was taken to the vet the government uses and stayed there for 3 weeks in a kennel. There is no municipal shelter in Nayarit so they had nowhere to take him. We accepted him into our care. His wound has now healed. It was fairly deep but the vet did not want to suture it but rather let it heal on it’s own. So far he is a very nice dog, a bit cautious and curious at the same time. We think he had an owner at some point based on how he acts. He likes to play with toys and is fine around other dogs but we do think he would thrive outside of the shelter in a calmer environment. He is now fully ready for adoption.
